Just as lockdown number one began so did our new kitchen, replacing the original 1976 one. The kitchen was designed and built by one of our Villagers.

We fundraised £7,500 and used the same amount from our own savings.

Villagers contributed approximately £1,000 in donations – absolutely superb. Not everyone was asked as we would have ended up with too much money, but perhaps in the future we may need your help.

We kept anything we considered was too good to dispose of e.g. water glasses, wine glasses, crockery and cutlery but we did purchase our first ever fridge and a wonderful induction range-cooker.

We look forward to using our new kitchen for Village events.
